ter from storage is not immediate in response to the drop of the water table. The yield is delayed depending on the elastic and phreatic storativity of the aquifer. Accordingly, the delayed yield produces a sigmoid drawdown curve as shown in Figure 9.8.9.

Essentially, three distinct phases of drawdown-time (s-t) relations occur as shown in Figure 9.8.9: initial phase, intermediate phase, and final phase.
