Field reports concerning abrasives

• Cubic boron nitride (Borazon) grinders must be rigid, in good condition, and able to mount wheels with very good accuracy.

• Crystolon (silicon carbide) such as 39C60-I8VK are recommended.

• Use very sharp, very friable aluminum abrasive that remains sharp during grinding, such as 38A.

• Wet grinding recommended.
