Table 6 shows that both the capital and running costs increase in the sequence hydrocyclone-IGF-fil-ter/coalescer-centrifuge. Hydrocyclones also produce the most compact plant and are the least sensitive to orientation or lateral acceleration as encountered in installations on a floating base.
