Concluding Remarks

A series of correlations taken from the literature are presented. They permit the evaluation of the performance of a sieve tray, once a set of design parameters has been chosen as outlined in Part I. At the design stage of a new sieve tray column, one can embed this design and performance analysis steps into an optimization procedure, in such a way that the design parameters may be altered until a specified objective function is satisfied.
