The 25 vol.%LaCr03-dispersed Cr was sintered at 1500 °C under Ar atmosphere with 1 vol.% H2, which had a relative density of 95%. Its electrical conductivity satisfies a SOFC requirement. The measured thermal expansion of LaCr03-dispcrsed Cr was well fitted to that of 8mol.% Y203-stabilizcd Zr02 electrolyte. Also the oxidation tests show that the LaCr03-dispcrsed Cr is very resistant to oxidation in air. These results demonstrate that LaCr03-dispersed Cr is a useful material for metallic interconnect of planar SOFC. The future works will be focused on the examination of the microstructure and the effects of alloy elements to improve the materials properties.
